can't upload zip files in the file field

Hi, i tried to upload zip files and I allways get the "This file type is not supported."

I tried to edit the administrator/components/com_flexicontent/config.xml adding the "zip" and "ZIP" extensions to the supported extensions with any results.

Also i can't even upload jpg files, so maybe i'm missunderstanding the goal of this field, isn't for files like doc,zip etc? not even jpg?

I has a similar problem with another file type, although I had added lots of MIM types. What helped was going to the general options in the back-end dashboard, where you can set 'Restrict Uploads' to "No". I don't know what the security implications are, but it worked for me.
