Adding more than 2 columns to default template?

Hello,

First of all congratulations on Flexicontent. It's a fantastic piece of work.

Secondly, I'm having issues expanding the default 2 columns to more. I've read tutorials on how other users have done this with the blog template but FC seemed to have changed it's code somewhat since they were written. Some of the code they point to just doesn't exist anymore.

Anyway, I need to expand the columns of the default template to 5. Can anyone help me with this?

Thanks for any responses.

Hello,

default template or blog template

and of the above templates, you mean item layout or category layout ?

-- the category layout of blog template has a parameter for selecting the number of columns for "intro" items (1-4)

Hello

unfortunately, this is not available / implemented,

it may be done in the future though (but it will be mostly likely for news template which already has option for 2 columns)

if you want you can sponsor it

of course you,
or some developer with a moderate HTML/CSS knowledge can do this,

like any kind of custom layout changes (that is why we have templating in the module for such custom work)

Regards

Hello

latest FLEXIcontent version has a carousel/slideshow template which 30x-40x or more work than adding more columns to a news template, e.g. adding more columns could be 20-30 minutes, plus parameters, language strings, testing in major browsers and committing we will get to 1 hour or more ...

FLEXIcontent has many parameters for customization but always there can be more ...

e.g. more columns in news template is meaningful and useful,
and it will be done in a future version

Regards

Hello

thanks for contribution

but we already have code/CSS/parameter that is tested
(it is in category layout of blog template)

at some point this will add it to news template of module,

but after proper parameters / language string and testing is done

Regards
