Hello,
I have a problem with the field labels background (see attachment).
I would like the background to stretch or reduce according to the length of the label text.
Is this possible and, if so, how?
Thanks!

you need too use css (use firebug to find class)
but without real lilk we can't help you ;)

FLEXIcontent is Free but involves a very big effort on our part.

Hello

by default the label has minimum width, but not a maximum width, so it should stretch to fit

maybe there is some other CSS in your site that is effecting the label

-- you may post a link to your page so that we can view the CSS and answer you ;) ,
but only post CSS issues resulting to bad display

-- other CSS custom work is not supported by this forum and is more appropriate for a different forum , e.g. CSS / styling forum

Regards

Hello,
thanks for the answers.
Unfortunately I don't think it's a site template CSS problem, as I've tried changing the template to the Joomla default one, protostar, and the problem persists.
If I need to tweak some CSS, could you please tell me where and what to look for and change?
I can send the website credentials via private message if any of you would like to help me.
Thank you so much!

Hello

without link to the page with the labels,
it is not possible to answer you,
because we cannot view the CSS that is in effect.

so please post a link

About not being related to Joomla template , yes of course, it maybe related to CSS loaded by some other extension / plugin

Regards

Hello

it is a CSS conflict with bootstrap.css loaded in your site, that forces no wrapping in the label

please edit file:
components/com_flexicontent/assets/css/flexicontent.css

find line (about 1464):
Code:
#flexicontent .flexi.label, .flexi.label {
and after the above line add:
Code:
white-space: normal !important;

Please do not add any other CSS in this file it will be overwritten next time that you upgrade
