I had thought of this too, this is needed.

I just implemented and tested this, but i need to:

-- add a parameter to display or not the buttons
-- add language strings
-- add some css
-- add to both versions v1.5.6 and v2.0

will do this when i have time along with other stuff at (?end of week?)

This will be for v1.5.6, you could try coping the field from v1.5.6 there though, it should work.

Is Minigallery working with FC 1.5.6 & joomla 1.5.23 ?

I can submit the files in my article and see them in the components\com_flexicontent\medias folder.
But I don't manage to make the gallery appear in the frontend article. I put the minigallery field in description position in the item view template. Am i missing something ?

By the way, wich template (item view) is used for the articles ? I thought it would be the template associated with the main category of the article. But in my case, it is the default template. (The template associated with the main category is duplicated from the default template)

Which is surprising because when in category view, it is the template associated to the main category that is used, and not the default, as i expected.

Is this a bug in FC or a bug in my head (most plausible choice) ?

As you know, FLEXIcontent supports:
-- multiple -content- TYPEs e.g. article, hotel, car, book, etc ...
-- and multiple templates, e.g. in the template managerr you can duplicate template 'default' as 'mydefault1'

So
-- Goto the type manager and open type of your item e.g. 'car'
-- Check and assign to the 'car' item type , your desired template e.g. template 'mydefault1'
-- Goto the template manager and open the item layout of the 'mydefault1' template and add the fields you want.
-- Every item of type 'car' will be shown using the item Layout of template 'mydefault1' (unless you override(change) the template in the item editor)


Also, if you have versioning enabled, and you edit item from the frontend, then please remember to open item in the backend and approve the new version.
