Besides fixing the wrong language string, this might be of interest.

The new version v1.5.6 has a fake state in the items manager to list the items that have unapproved versions.

Also, at the FC Home page, there is a new slider, called "Revised :: Published, waiting for version reviewal"

Also notifications when a new item or version is submitted/edited, are planed, but did not find time to do this yet.
