Override title / show title [Explained]

i think a little bug.

in an item if I setting "override title" to YES
and "SHOW title" to NO

my title has been override in balise <title> header & SEO.
but the title is also display in content (show title no) !

on joomla 2.5.1 (same on 1.7)

What you see as output is not the item title but the "custom_title" which you have set as page title.

Explanation

1. Joomla MENU PARAMETER show_page_title (default:YES) outputs page_title (another Joomla MENU parameter) when page_title <> item_title

2. Item Type OR Item parameter show_title outputs item_title

The parameter override_title set page_title to item_title or to custom_title if it is set, what happens is that you set page_title to a custom_title that it is different than item_title so it gets printed. This is the default behavior of Joomla too.

I never liked this behavior printing 2 titles when title1<>title2 is very confusing, and it keeps coming up by users ...

I´m not sure if this is a question or a bug report, but I´m getting different values on show_page_heading and show_page_title on category view. I think the problem is here on com_flexciontent/views/category/view.html.php, lines 220 an on. Could you replicate?

in J2.5+ we use 'show_page_heading' to decide whether to show page title, and we also 'show_page_title' overwrite with it, so that old templates will work

if you have some improvement to suggest, then can you be more specific ?
