[± solved] Fleximodule doesn't scale images proportionally

HI,

I am using FC 1.5.6 RC3 r1151.

When we use the fleximodule in news layout and with an image and the resizing method is scale, the image is scaled but not proportionally as it should be like in the templates the blog and the items.

How can I fix that?

If you set the parameter for scaling/cropping image does it make difference?

ALSO check that for featured items you use "featured parameter" setting and for standard you use standard parameter setting

e.g. out of total 10 items if you set featured items to 5, then the first 5 will be featured and the next 5 will be standard

If I select crop items are cropped but when scaling is set they are scaled with no proportions.

eg:
I set the picture to scale and size to 90 px width and 90 px height on both featured and standard
My original picture is 300px x 100px and when scaled 90px x 90px instead of 90px x 30px as it should be.

This problem is the same on 2 websites I am working on.

Does any body have a clue? I am stucked.

You are displaying standard or featured items?
Did you set the setting for standard or for featured items? first make sure of this

also give an image of the parameters configuration for image field
and also maybe give a live link too, if your site is online

I tried both featured and standard. Actually they are in standard, but the problem was also there in featured.

Do you need access to the back-end?

I now see the problem, is do right click and display image separately you will see it was scalled proportionally the problem, is that we have hardcoded BOTH width and height into the html tag
<img width="120" height="120">

but e.g. the image is 120x74 so it is stretched to fit,

will remove these !!!
you can go into news.php and remove them,

i will commit fix in build i ll make today
