Hello,
in this query you can see that the result gives us 50 pages with "lorem ipsum" in the description:
j.mp/M50g6s

The problem is that when you press the 1st link:
j.mp/LfpWlJ

You will notice that the article DOES NOT have lorem ipsum in the description. I have already PURGE the Advanced search index.

We have disable versioning becouse we where having problems with Joomfish.

So I went to the VERSION TABLE in the DB and notice that lorem ipsum appears in earlier versions of the same article.

My question, is advanced search depending on VERSIONNING?
Shouldn't advanced search be validation if versionning is ON or OFF?

How can I change this? Not sure this is what is happening.

I have UPDATE via mysql query all descriptions from the versioning with lorem ipsum.

There steal appear in the search results. Could this be Joomfish?

mmm, which search plugins related to joomla articles are active?

NOTE: During search and ALL other views and modules, only current item versions are used.

Versioning are not used anywhere else except the item edit form and some controller tasks.

None, not even jommfish is ON now!

I have only ADV Search. This is really really weird.

Is there any query to search in the entire database that I could use, to see if I can find the LOREM IPSUM?

mmm, switch into using the FLEXIcontent standard search plugin, until we test this more

By the way, the instruction say that in advanced search we should not ACTIVATE THE ADVANCED search for the TITLE and DESCRIPTION.

But if we DON'T DO IT it does not appear in the SEARCH INDEX CACHE. Something miss leading there.

So I have activated ADV. SEARCH for TITLE and DESCRIPTION.

Probably something wrong there.

Issue SOLVED:

The problem was that we still had old entries in tables:

jos_flexicontent_items_versions
jos_flexicontent_items_ext

The search retrieved data from this tables.
When I deleted the faulty data the problem was gone!

So, search does in fact query this two tables.

Issue NOT SOLVED

Sorry but after if I remove lines from this tables some original content disappeared.

So whats wrong?

How can we safely remove content versions from _flexicontent_items_versions?

How can we safely remove lines from _flexicontent_items_ext search_index column - After purge, still can find data here ?

Thanks in advance ;)

The table jos_flexicontent_items_versions is not used during search

The table jos_flexicontent_items_ext is used during search
-- it contains the Search index for title and description (plus the Extended data of every item)

You should never manually delete anything from those tables

So, you mean that in the search unpublished items were included ?
