[Fixed in r1372] Saving new category: error message was created by Rooney
SVN r1368: saving a new category gives an error message (without detailed message text). The category nevertheless is created!

Does it say :
"Check-in failed with the following error: "
without providing further text

or is the error message completely empty?

Good, i have the same effect, so i will tracked down and fix.

Yes category is saved by some problem with Check-In the category.

A question which Joomla revision you have?
J2.5.6 ?

In r1372

Fixed category model for J2.5 to
(a) properly check-in new categories, (issue reported in the thread)

(b) a conflict when editing and creating new category at the same time,

(c) save and copy button to appear for existing categories


and in r1373
Add check-in task for the check-in button that appears in the categories list next to categories currently being locked
