If you test on a fresh Joomla installation (without any plugins installed) does it work?

You are right in textarea no problem to use '{}' in 'opening/closing text fields'.

But in the page it's not at the same place than in a text field.

I don't think the problem comes from nonumber plugin as the problem occurs in back end and not in the front end where using rereplacer.

Moreover, for me it's not a problem avoiding using braces, as '[]' work and give the same usage in Rereplacer.

I'm using '{}' or '[]' in rereplacer only to be sure the text searched text is not used by a user elsewhere than where he has to be.

Do you have another usage of '{}' which cannot be replaced by another caracter ?
