Hello this is an old bug and it happens in every site I try to have registered user to submit content.

I have an category called TICKETS and I want the registered users to only submit to that category so what I usually to is in the MENU ITEM that submits tickets I OVERRIDE the category so the user can only submit to one category.

1- When the submit the content for the first time NO PROBLEM
2- When the same user with the same permission try to EDIT the item it allows to move it to another category

Please fix this asap. I need to Autors only create content in one category, how can I do this?

Hello,

but why this is a bug?

- the menu item is only for submission, i say again only for submission, and it was added because of J1.5 version without FLEXIaccess had no ACL

- the edit operation is simply using ACL and of course it does not use a "submit" menu item,
even if you wanted to use the parameters of it , it would not be possible without some ugly hack to associate a content item with menu item

1. So, if you want your users to be able to assign only to a specific category, then their user group should have "Create" privilege ONLY to the desired category.

2. We had added description inside menu item to clearly say that the override is for submitting only

"(effects only initial submission)"

so it is strange that you mention this

I see, I needed to restructure the categories in order to only show the registered the desire category.

It worked, I also had to go to each Parent category and disable creating.

With this change everything looks ok.

My bad.
