Hi,
this is not a FC but a Joomla bug, but I thought it might be interesting anyway.

Everything you delete behind the article ID is a valid SEF path for Joomla. Have you seen this before?

Like the our support? (for a bug-free FC, despite having a long list of functions) Like the features? Like the ongoing development and future commitment to FLEXIcontent?

Hi,
is this really the correct behaviour? Seems strange:

www.domain.com/articleID-alias
www.domain.com/articleID
www.domain.com/articleID-aliassomethink1
www.domain.com/articleID-aliassomethink2
www.domain.com/articleID-aliassomethink3

They are all valid and lead to the same article? I already have several of those in the Google index. Has this always been the standard Joomla behaviour?

Hello

Consider this:

you edit a Joomla article and change the title and then change the alias too

the new SEF URL will have the new alias

but we want the old URLs to continue to work
so when the item is retrieved the way that the article id is retrieved is done:

-- item alias ==> INTEGER
e.g.
457:sometext ==> 457
457:sometext2 ==> 457
457:sometext3 ==> 457

the rel canonical should notify Google that these are the same page
