Global configuration not saved - Fc 2.1.0r1742a

Hi,
in the global configuration : if I change the options in "Content lists" tab | Text Search : show label or word combinaison, the new options are not saved (for any option of Text Saearch ou Field Filters).

And when I click on "Save and close" in the pop-up, it don't close it but display the Global Configuration of Joomla in the pop-up.

so far reasons (this has been reported quite a few times, you can find this old forum post)

1. maximum number of posted variable is low !!
please make sure you have at least 5000:
add this in your .htaccess
and then visit the php configuration info(report) of Joomla to verify it has good value

php_value max_input_vars value 5000

2. also check that params column of __extensions table is of type "text"
