[Load jQuery once] JS error in advanced search module

Code:
Uncaught TypeError: Object [object Object] has no method 'autocomplete'
is thrown in tmpl-common.js: Line 283
Code:
// add Simple text search autocomplete jQuery( "input.fc_index_complete_simple" ).autocomplete({ source: function( request, response ) { el = jQuery(this.element);
Can I solve this without touching the FC code?

Hello

usually such error is multiple loading of jQuery AND / OR of jQuery UI

I have a Javascript error in my page, what to examine/do first

Use a plugin to load it once OR disable jQuery in ALL your site extensions and load it once in you joomla template (in index.php of the template)

I dont have additional modules or components installed. Plus I checked the delivered HTML document and there is jquery loaded only once and ui is not loaded at all. Even when switching to a Joomla default template the error is still there.

Hello

even if this is a bug of FLEXIcontent it indicates a problem with loading of jQuery UI,

e.g. you have disabled loading of jQuery in FLEXIcontent component parameters

-- you can view page source, but i cannot, because i don't have a URL to page

Hello

goto FLEXIcontent component options

and inside "Options" TAB make sure that jQuery is set to be loaded

Thx, but I dont understand ... when I look at the HTML source I see that jQuery is loaded already through my template from the media jui folder. Why would I want to load it twice?

1. It is loaded in wrong order
2. and also jQuery UI is not loaded in your page

so please check FLEXIcontent component configuration as i said above , if it set to load then something is removing it from your page

I enabled jQuery in FC. I dont see anything wrong with the loading order, UI is loaded, jquery.ui.autocomplete.min.js is loaded ... still the same error. Please see http://www.devj3.kiteboarding-windsurfi ... Itemid=101

Hello

js error is different now,

i cannot be sure why there is this jQuery error occurring, it maybe a combination of JS that you are using loading in your site

you can try installing jQueryEasy and configure it to load both jQuery and jQuery UI in the frontend
