[SOLVED] How to configure import of "creator", in content import , config for column 'created_by' is ignored

1) fc > config > import > Publishing > Creator (Author) > set value "Use 'created_by' column containing USER IDs, e.g. 457" > save.
2) clear all caches, clear cookies, log out, login.
3) freshly load page: fc > import > Publishing > Creator (Author) > still ol value
> expexted behavior: confogured default value (see step 1))

i tested it works properly

did you name column "created_by" or "createdby" ? (correct is "created by")
did you use user IDs as column values ?
- does the column appear in the preview screen (a table that shows the items found in the CSV file)
(this screen appears just before clicking "Start import ...")

ok, I think we just have a misunderstanding here:
Yes, I did name the column "created_by", and the import works properly.

What I meant by the original thread-subject ~"config > import > default value for 'created_by' is ignored" (the subject changed) was:
- yes, the import-feature itself works fine: I can import without problems, also with correct creator.
- possible bug is here: each new import (or each time I press "reset import task") sets the configuration-default-value back to "current user". I attached screenshot "a" of that config-setting. At least I was under the impression that I could configure FC to to use the csv-column "created_by" by default.
Instead, in each new (otherwise working) import process, I have to choose "Use 'created_by' column containing USER IDs, e.g. 457" again (see Screenshot "b"). So, if I wouldn't change this setting seen in screenshot "b", next import would use "current user", even if I have above mentioned column.

Maybe the config setting seen in screenshot "a" is for something different?

after you "click" reset import task, the component defaults are loaded
- that is the designed behaviour to load component defaults
after the import process finishes

- are the component defaults loaded ?
- do you have a suggestion to change this behaviour ?

please note that settings from last form load are remembered

- component defaults are loaded in these 2 cases
when you 1st visit the form
after you click "Reset Import task"

so if you change default in component settings (parameters) you will need to relogin

it loaded all defaults except mentioned field.

ah ok, i hadn't done that. now it loads all default values.

Well, one could only put a small note towards the top of "Import Manager Configuration" that says something like
"Changes in these settings take effect after you log out and back in again."
