[Because flexicontent.org is now forcing https] Connection to Update Server Failed after updating to 3.3.3 was created by staffiery

After updating to version 3.3.3 and returning to the dashboard I am getting "Connection to Server Failed"

It could be an issue with that IP address being blocked at our firewall or something else. If you could send the IP address I can make sure it isn't blocked and we can try again.

Hello

This effects all versions up to v3.3.3.

A change was made in flexicontent.org to force all URLs to be:
HTTPS
and the update check URL in Dashboard, that is used in v3.3.3 and all older versions will no longer work, because the code does not handle the redirection to HTTPS

(but Joomla update manager URL check still works)

I will get this working, but since it is not usability bug, will deal with on Tuesday
