Hi,
let me talk about an idea:
There are so many Comment Extensions (Joomla and extern).
Now i think it would be nice to have Field-Plugins that put out only the html for the Commets.So there are no more many if calls in the flexicontent template.
In the backend of flexicontent there is the "global" configuration where you can choose between Jcomments and JomComment.
With the "new plugin system" than the user can choose his favorite comment system.
I hope one can me understand
