Only featured items from menu?

Hi!
I need to display only featured items from all categories.
I have created menu item for parent category.
It displays ALL items from ALL categories.
When I enabled "featured only" option FC does not displays any items at all...

It will not list items in FLEXIcontent "featured" categories

This needs 1 more option and a language string change,
so that it becomes:

Use Global
No
Yes
Items flagged as Featured (instead of "Featured Only")
Items from Featured Categories

if any filter is active , even an active filter via "locked / initial filter values" parameter

then you need to use the "after filtering form" submit parameters

Please, explain how to display ONLY featured items from ALL categories.

You can allow filter for this field
in your category use blocked filter option and use fieldid##value

I need to display only items with Featured status.

It simple in K2. It simple in com_content.

you can't use featured link becasue it's an joomla vue not a flexicontent view ....
one of the best solution is to use additionnal cat
1 create an home or feature categorie
2 assign article wanted to this catégorie
3 display your "feature" categorie

In this case, what sense in Featured option at all?
Why we can set items as Featured?
Why we can display featured items in com_content, in K2, in Seblod and many other components and can't do same simple thing in FC?

This is not normal.

I can't explain my clients why they should do so difficult extra steps instead simple pressing on star button.



We should in every possible way simplify the actions of users, and not complicate things.

hello i don't understand what is the problem ...
i test this
1 create a categorie movie
2 create 2 item with start and 4 without
3 create a link menu to movie (flexicontent categorie)
4 allow override option in menu item => item list tab => select item and pagination
in limit / suppress items => Limits -after- text-search, filtering, alpha-indexing => featured only
worked perfect
