field containing the value of another one.

Hello,

I want to use the content of a customised field in another hidden field ( to display the beginning of the orifinal field).

The original field is called 'haut-de-page'.
The hidden field is called 'introduction diaporama'.

the parameters of 'introduction diaporama' is given in 'attached file' :



'introduction diaporama' is a mandatory field with a default value always displayed when the field is empty.

I have tested the content of default value with {{haut-de-page}}, {{haut-de-page##0}} and {{haut-de-page##00##}}.

The content is never displayed in the the front page. I just gest the default value.

no you can't
add juste a space or 0 in defaut
and {{field}} in prefix or suffix

I did that also.

It's working on all my others sites, but not in this new site.

Do you need a superadmin access ?

in new version you will be able to use custom code inside parameter to create a value that is stored in DB ,
thus it will also be filterable / searchable

in current version you can either use a custom layout
or

1. Set default value to: 2. Set default usage to "Display instead of empty"
3. Use {{haut-de-page}} in value prefix or in value suffix parameter

I did that. I use it successfully in others sites.
In this new site I can ad core value ({{item->id}} ) but it doesn't work with a customised value.

Sorry I don't understand. I don't think I have entered breaking space or an empty space.

In the default value I have put ' '
In the prefix I have put {{haut-de-page}}

also there is a bug
we added support for - in field names

but replacements with such fieldname (that have dash -) will not work ! in v3.2.1.7
this is fixed in v3.2.1.8

since this site is being developed you can install from URL
