more flexibility to request

hello many persons wants to change order (date flexidate ...)to create the categorie display .. but now it's in core php ....
it isn't possible to create a systeme to have a special request ?
for exemple a systeme to selecte simply WHERE LIKE AND etc in backend to construct any order with flexifield ?
it's possible ?
