Building a plugin

Building a plugin was created by orchid1

hello all
having issues building a plugin for FLEXicontent

I created a plug-in for FLEXIcontent and was able to:

-create a field for it in the "New Field" interface.
-I then published the field so that it would show up in the my "Types"
-I was able to see the field in the "Template Layout" interface

everything was going great.

Then when I go to create an Item in the "New Item interface" I get this message where my plug-in field should be

Please publish the FLEXIcontent fields plugins

so now I am wondering what this means. Any ideas??

Hi,
First of all thanks a lot for all your nice contributions. That's really cool for all FLEXIcontent users (including me) :-)

Now concerning your issue:
- What would you like to obtain exactely?
- Should your plugin appear in the data entry form in backend?
- Could you enclose the alpha version (so that I can have a look)?
I'll publish an extensive doc on the subject as soon as I'll have finished the frontend submit and the field alias features - as these features may modify the plugin structure a little.
