How to create many sites with shared content or different content and templates.
There will be a main site, and some subsites.
A content can be present in main and one subsite, or only in main, or only in one subsite.

With advanced module manager (or metamod) I know that I can display some modules with SERVER_NAME.

The difficulty now is how to assign flexicontent data to these different site and then how to render ?

My idea was to create a field
Site with "Main","Subsite1","Subsite2"...
Then I think I can create filters on this field and have different menu and modules for each website.

The difficulty is probably to assign ACL and this "site" field

I will create one ACL admin group for each site main, and all subsites

So is it possible to limit select of this field to avoid admin of the subsite2 to add data to subsite1.
(each admin could only select main or his subsite)

if not directly possible perhaps could I create a module ?

Any ideas ?

This sounds like a Joomla how to question,

share data? you mean the you will have a SINGLE database , right?

and you will park multiple site names that will serve different page in frontpage ?

yes could be in How to... except if I have te develop a specific plugin ?

You're right I want to have a single database and single installation .
Site name with module manager will serve different pages, menus, templates.
Adding the problem of the ACL of the filter field for different site, I don't how how to select diffrente default menu for each site.
