The only way is to modify the default content plugin. But take care of the multimapping to navigate in the right category

Hi,
yes the multimapping is a (little) Problem.
I think when a user is in category A, he will see only items from category a and not b or c.
so i think it is "simple" to change the joomla default prevnext plugin.
i will give it a try...

While you work on this plugin, for people who really want to have some prev-next navigation for some articles, this is the way around I found :
I created a new field, with the field type Select Flexicontent items - the plugin created by yopyop - and added this field in the top position of my template.
For each article, I then choose the articles I want to display in this short navigation system. This is just a way around, I know
