Display filtered list of items on item view

It obviously don't work ...
In that exemple i have selected a category but i get items from all category displayed.

Also another thing :
In backoffice item form, the field only show values already used (from filter field choosed for auto-relation).
As we actually populate catalog from zero and the filter field have lot of values we must, each time, apply changes (after choice of a new value in filter filed) to have the corresponding value available in auto-relation field ...

yes,
this setting will not prevent items from all categories from showing

You then also need to go to item form and select the specific category
and save the item form

None "related" items filters are active until you select it in item form
and then save the item form

The above rule applies for "category selector" filter too

Ok i undertsand.
But this could be an option (to have a category preselected to filter).
Because here we have 2/3 auto-relation fields and seriously with category it add 6 select in item form with choice to be done that are always the same thru all items ... boring and not efficient !

One more question :
For one of my auto-relation field i point to a category call "medias" with 2 sub cats called "photos" and "videos".
Is there a way to display articles from photos and videos when medias is choosed in item form (as caterogy for filtering auto relation).
I don't see any option for that ...
I also tried to enable multi in category selector (to choose photos and videos) but when i save item this field remain blank ...
