Hello,

> i tried to use JA Multilingual but after automatic translation my items aren’t assign to the respective content types created by Flexicontent.

Auto-translating the items, aka the Joomla articles,
- will create new articles

1. The new articles will not be associated with any FLEXIcontent type because they were created outside of FLEXIcontent
you will need to associate them with correct type after translating
2. Also the new articles will not have their FLEXIcontent custom fields translated

thanks you for replying.

« you will need to associate them with correct type after translating »
yes but I will lose all the contents of my items already created.
So what should I do to keep right type (and templates) associated with each item ?

do you think JA Multilingual team could really correct this and solve the FC types issue?

And if I don’t translate the items, is it possible to assign each article created in 'all language' and associated with a FLEXIcontent type -> to 2 categories with different languages FR + EN ? and how to proceed?
it could be a reasonable solution to break this deadlock, unless you have a better idea.

Hello,

this problem of non associated FLEXIcontent types comes from FC or JA Multilingual component ?
and JA Multilingual team could really correct this and solve the FC types issue?

and if it’s possible with Flexicontent parameters, how can assign items (all languages) toward 2 different categories (FR + EN ) ?

please help!

Hello,

Flexicontent is become a popular CCK and should offer the ability to be compatible with JA Multilingual component, but JA Multilingual doesn’t work properly and their component is not compatible with latest Flexicontent version.

i tried to use JA Multilingual but my items aren’t assign to the respective content types created by Flexicontent after JA automatic translation .

according to the Joomlart team
- « It seems that our JA Multilingual works with old version of Flexicontent, I’ve reported to the team for further checking and update. »

3 months later,
- Did you update JA Multilingual to be compatible with latest Flexicontent version 3.2.1.12 ?

- Still no news on it , please be patient, actually this is not a priority.and it will be done if there will be an high number of requests

Could FLEXIcontent team members and devs ask to Joomlart to update their JA Multilingual component ?

Thank you.

Hello

because we have done work to use Flexicontent inside Joomla article form
(we are using the events onBeforeContentSave onAfterContentSave)

propably,
this is something that can probably be fixed inside FC code

unfortunately now busy with other priorites

with which FC version did you test with v3.2.1.12 ?
