Restrict frontend menu to only show for members of a group was created by sturogers

Apologies if this is addressed elsewhere but tried searching without success.

I am trying to restrict a menu item to only be visible to a certain Flexi Access group.

So, I created a Collective Group and added myself to the group.

I then click "Frontend and Content" and navigate to a menu item, untick the icon alongside Public, and instead tick the icon alongside my group (so all groups are red circle, except for my group which is green tick).

But when I login to the frontend of my website the menu item does not show, even though I am a member of the group.

Have I missed or misunderstood something?
