Admin - No menu with mod_famenu was created by ThatComputerDude
This is very odd... after months in production, all of a sudden the main menu in the admin control panel has a JS conflict and I've pin pointed it to the mod_famenu.


When the famenu is enabled for the main menu, the drop downs work like 10% of the time. Nothing has been added to the site and I've even restored files form a few months ago just to make sure a file hadn't been edited.


Any idea what about the famenu would cause this?

I think you don't work with Joomla 1.5.20 since months. ;)
Maybe there was a JS updated/changed in the core wich cause the conflict now...

Current versions:
- FLEXIcontent 1.5.3c
- FLEXIaccess 1.0.5a

I'm sorry, good call. I'll roll the site back to 1.5.18 and see if there is still a conflict.

This was happening before I upgraded from 1.5.18 - 1.5.20 though.

I'll post the results after I roll the site back to 1.5.18

think to desactived the plugin compatibility mootools in joomla 1.5.20 ...
FLEXIcontent is Free but involves a very big effort on our part.
Like the our support? (for a bug-free FC, despite being huge extension) Like the features? Like the ongoing development and future commitment to FLEXIcontent?

I'm pretty sure the new mootools plugin was disabled but I'll check right now.

While running all current versions of FlexiContent and FlexiAccess on Joomla 1.5.20

I have the plugin System - Mootools Upgrade disabled.

When I enable mod_famenu and disable mod_menu, the drop downs stop working from time to time.


That is the part that confuses me - why do they work sometimes but other times they do not work (the dropping down of the menu items).

Tonight I'm going to update the site to the latest versions of FlexiContent and FlexiAccess as well.

I'll report any issue with the menu drop downs in the admin control panel in this thread if/when it happens.
