I just got an email from jupgrade 2.5.2. In the release notes it mentions adding flexicontent but I haven't tested this yet.

Any confirmation that this is a valid upgrade method from 1.5 to 2.5?

actualy you can use netassopro solution (it a great dev specialist of flexicontent)

FLEXIcontent is Free but involves a very big effort on our part.
Like the our support? (for a bug-free FC, despite being huge extension) Like the features? Like the ongoing development and future commitment to FLEXIcontent?

I'm just getting back to this project. Which specific NetassoPro solution are you referring to? Fleximport?

The NetassoPro tool has 2 problems which are quite major for my site (because it is very large):

1) The upgrade changes the category IDs, so any existing links will have the wrong cid

2) Any menu items which point to categories lose their association, and have to be manually re-assigned.
