Sorting by custom field in FC module

i was hoping for this one to be solved in the latest release (v2.0_RC9b_r1580), but helas.

Yes I am waiting for it as well.

Maybe with following scenario:

Core sorting
- Dropdown for Newest/Oldest/MostFavored/MostViewed items
- Reset Button to Original sorting(Alphabetical)

Custom field sorting
- Yes/NO (Radio, check box)
- Greater/Less (Text, TextSelect, Select, MultipleSelect)

I see a lot of changes on ordering, and i'm not sure i understand them all.

please confirm if ordering FC module on custom field is not yet possible. (i keep thinking i may be missing something, so i check and recheck field, type, category, menu and module settings after every update)

i might be able to code the custom field order from the category settings into the FC Univeral Module.

would you be interested in commiting that?

i have no experience in SVN or something like that so i would be supplying it as piece(s) of code via forum or mail
