How can I prevent Read more links to be displayed if there is nothing more to read?

components\com_flexicontent\templates\[template name - see it in category settings]\category_items.php

you must search srtings
<?php if ($this->params->get('show_readmore', 1)) : ?>

and replace it to
<?php if (($this->params->get('show_readmore', 1))&&($items[$i]->fulltext!="")) : ?>
