Controlling FlexiContent URL's

I have been attempting to find how to control the FlexiURL's such that the published link displays the following: site.com/news/item/541 for news and site.com/events/item/543 for events.

Currently it displays: site.com/component/flexicontent/item/541 for news and and site.com/events/item/543 for events.

We are rebuilding a site for a large client after a server breach and I cannot seem to get this url pattern to work again as it did once before. I have checked all the settings in Joomla and FlexiContent I can think of including any htaccess rules and vhost.conf rules.

Any thoughts on this?

Thanks in advance,

David

FLEXIcontent is Free but involves a very big effort on our part.
Like the our support? (for a bug-free FC, despite being huge extension) Like the features? Like the ongoing development and future commitment to FLEXIcontent?

I am not currently using any third-party SEF products. I have checked the htaccess file and it is identical to the previous version that has been taken down because of the security breach. What is the preferred method of controlling the format of the FlexiContent URL's? I have not been able to locate that functionality native in FlexiContent.

I can use a third-party app like AceSEF, however I think you need to specify every new link manually. I need to set this up such that every link added (new news article or event) will automatically take on the correct structure.

Can this be done natively in FlexiContent? If not, what is the preferred method?

Thanks,

D

flexicontent use joomla SEF native and you couldn't select url ..
acesef can do this
try free version with flexicontent extention (free too)
if it work buy composant to leave footer copyright
maybe you can do a rule in htaccess ...
