several categories being displayed in one place

Hello, I hope my english is good enough to describe a problem I have.

I wanted to have multicategories and found FlexiContent. It's working pretty nice but I would like to suggest it to display articles from 3 categories in one place on my main site.
Heres how it goes: I have article added to categories like PC,XBOX,PS and they are nested in NEWS (so they are subcategories). I'm able to force Flexi to display NEWS on main, but not PC,XBOX and PS as separate categories.
If I try to get newses from those categories, joomla is displaying "nothing". Category PC (for example) is empty, when I know (and see) that I added article to PC,XBOX i PS.

It seems like I can suggest only one category to display on main, not two, or three, or infinite if I want to do so :) (like they are "virtual categories visible in - only - Flexi, but not Joomla itself)

You know, you enter the site and there are some news from each section in pretty "news and stuff window". I don't know how to get this effect with FlexiContent :/

FLEXIcontent is Free but involves a very big effort on our part.
Like the our support? (for a bug-free FC, despite being huge extension) Like the features? Like the ongoing development and future commitment to FLEXIcontent?
