I tried to search the forums but couldn't find this, so apologies if this has already been answered.
I am using categories which have subcategories. I would like to use linked drop-down selection so that, when a member selects a category to submit to, next to it is another selection list populated with the associated subcategories.
actualy without core modification it's not possible
maybe you can do this in form.php (component/com_flexicontent folder)

FLEXIcontent is Free but involves a very big effort on our part.
