I don't think that changing item state like that was available

To micker: yes it is possible to implement duplication of categories including their items. You can do that now in more than one step ...
1. Create the new category
2. then filter items by old category
3. select all items of old category and
4. then click Copy/Move
5. In the Copy/Move Options select "Copy and Move" and then select new category as primary ...

It is too late to do this for 1.5.6
1.5.6 has an new Mechanism for managing translation:
A. Group an item's translation together
B. Import Joomfish Data
C. Automatic translation by google server and storing the data in the DB !!!
D. Automatic selection of proper translation in frontend item view via a new system plugin

2. In the archive section, if you hit 'next' at the bottom of the page, instead of going to the next page of the archive section, it takes you to the ITEMS page. Any thoughts on a fix for this?
