Item Type Parameters Are Greyed Out

When I try to create a new item type, the parameters are grayed out, so I cannot change the item layout from "blog" to "default."

Last time this happened, I deleted everything in Flexicontent (all types, templates, and items) and then the parameters were accessible.

I don't want to have to delete everything again. :? Any suggestions?

I upgraded to v1.5.6 RC1. No change. As weird as it seems, the problem is this: if I duplicate the default template and name it "page," the parameters under item types will gray out and prevent me from changing the layout. Others template names don't seem to have this effect.

In case this helps anyone: Don't duplicate the default template and name the new template "page."

Thanks for your help. I'm off to check out the cool new features in v1.5.6 RC1. :D

Also don't try to create field name that start with a number. Of course your field label can start with number

Thanks for the info, will check ...
