Customize a filter?

Greetings,

I have some cultural assets categorized in 4 main categories: Photo, Graphics, Painting and Printed matter. Each item has a field - Keeper - type select, which is filterable.
Now if I have "use filters" in category, it brings me a select list with all the values of the Keeper field, even if some of the keepers don't have any assets in the selected category.
Let's say I have Keeper1 to Keeper5 and I'm in Category view: Photo. Right now the select list for the filter Keepers would show:
-Keeper1
-Keeper2
-Keeper3
-Keeper4
-Keeper5
Let's say Keeper2 and Keeper3 doesn't have any record as type Photo, so I would like the filter select list to look as:
-Keeper1
-Keeper4
-Keeper5

Hello, this has been requested before more than once, i have implemented it for all standard custom fields of FLEXIcontent via a new function placed components/com_flexicontent/classes/flexicontent.categories.php file. (You could use this function if you create a new field)

Then old and new behavior is controlled via a new parameter in category view.

NOTE: that this has been added after v1.5.6 RC2a / v2.0 RC2a, so you need to wait for RC3/final version or extract from SVN the current build
