I didn't understand very well this FAQ : Upgrading custom Templates to work in v1.5.6+

Does we have to put all fields we don't use in our item template into that renderonly position ? Core fields and user fields ?

if you display directly your field in php without position you put your field in renderonly
FLEXIcontent is Free but involves a very big effort on our part.
Like the our support? (for a bug-free FC, despite being huge extension) Like the features? Like the ongoing development and future commitment to FLEXIcontent?
