How delete categories in Flexicontent without.....?

How delete a category in Flexicontent without delete the original content (joomla content)? - because i was thinking to unpublished a category in flexicontent without unpublish my original articles in this category, how in flexicontent for joomla 1.5.... but in the version for 2.5 if i unpublished a category in flexi, unpublish all my articles in this category, is not how flexicontent for joomla 1.5

Because i cant delete the redirection, well, this is my last option.

This is the default behavior of joomla 2.5 ACL with and without FLEXIcontent installed,

if you unpublish a category then articles in this category will not be available in the frontend.

The benefit in FLEXIcontent is that articles (called items) can have multiple categories, so the articles can still be accessed via a url that specifies no category id or specifies a category id of some other published category.

NOTE, you cannot delete a category that has assigned articles
