thanks for feedback !

this was asked by a couple of other users too, and indeed we think it is indeed not proper choice to have 1 rel canonical per item category,

this will be the default for v2.2.0

to Rooney: do by any chance left both old and new code?

yes, in Joomla 3.x the Joomla SEF plugin is adding a rel canonical, according to the current URL retrieved from JRouter

thinking of best practice for dealing with this

will check what other extensions did
