Creating Custom URL Filters

Hi,

I am just revisiting this post about creating items:
www.flexicontent.org/forum/index ... =viewtopic

I have been able to set up:
&maincat=youridcat
&type=youridtype

In the new FLEXIcontent (2.2), is there anyway to add:
+ secondary categories
+ language string (&language=en-GB, &lang_code=en-GB)

Is there a var in the url for language? Or a variable for categories?

Thanks,

Robert

lang will be good
secondary will be conplex (if many)

FLEXIcontent is Free but involves a very big effort on our part.

Hello

you mean as default values ?

or as "locked values" too ?
they could appear as "locked"

but you realise that the server-side item save task will not enforce them

Thanks for your input. Its from a UX perspective.

If a user has created an item for a category (eg FAQ) - and its category default language is English - we know that this item needs to be in English. Or if a user has created an item for a category (eg 中文) we know this is Chinese - so the item language needs to be Chinese. So - it makes sense for an item to do this.

One of the things I am finding is users forget to set the language and its an extra step we can avoid to make it easier for users.

I know you can set it at an author level - but many clients need to enter both languages.

For me, the perfect create item would give you the ability to set:

1. Language (English)
2. Category (FAQ)
3. Sub-category (Client Questions)
4. Automatically add to menu category on save, remove from menu on unpublish (we used to be able to do this with a orchid1software plugin in j1.5)

Then all the client would need to do is enter the content.

Thoughts?

Robert
