Hello

is the template parameter in the menu item set to
"Use global", so that template used will be the template configured by category ?

hello,
yes. assigned templates to category, no override from menu

as i described it has problems with cache(Jommla) is set to "on".
if no sef, no cache, menus are giving the right templates.

but i will do the testing with other flexiversion,...

tested with version 2.3.0 alpha
cache ON joomla and category templates for menu is working properly here...
