Language switching and URL problems was created by gfisch

Hi there;

I have two languages and two menus which are associated.
crrf-fcrr.ca/en/our-canada
crrf-fcrr.ca/fr/le-canada-notre-pays

If I am in the English article, and I hover over the link for French, I see the link is correct ( crrf-fcrr.ca/fr/le-canada-notre-pays ) but when I click it it redirects to:

crrf-fcrr.ca/fr/component/flexic ... pays-25217

My client would rather the URL stayed the same as ther menu URL.

please always mention Joomla / FLEXIcontent versions

Hello

there are several relevant fixes in regards to SEF urls and language switching in v2.2.0+ stable

1. please upgrade to v2.2.1 rc1

2. also in J3.x we use the J3.x method of creating links for the switching of language, so you get links without need of being redirected
