you need to hidde category by acl

FLEXIcontent is Free but involves a very big effort on our part.
Like the our support? (for a bug-free FC, despite being huge extension) Like the features? Like the ongoing development and future commitment to FLEXIcontent?

Hello

the ACL privilege is called:
Categories (Item edit Form): Assign multiple categories to items

-- to find and set it,
1. please go to component parameters (click "configuration")

2. then find the user group, for which you want to disable usage of "secondary categories"
e.g. you can disable for "Registered" and thus all user groups , except for Super Admins will be effected

3. scroll down to find: Categories (Item edit Form): Assign multiple categories to items
and set to "disabled"

Hello,

I changed ACL to not allow, but the secondary category selection will still show in the submit page, just Locked to prevent users to edit it.
Can I totally hide the secondary category selection in my submit page?

Thank you!

Hello

if you want secondary categoies to be always hidden
then you could use CSS to hide it

of course this is not optimal
and such a need is not be uncommon,
we will have this added in v3.1
