I checked three it and more:
45##Amarilla %%
Flor##Amarilla %%
flor##Amarilla %%
... and without "_" -> 45##Amarilla%% ... and "Flor..."and "flor..."
... and order number 45##8%% ...
... and others field values: Azul...
cleaning cache too

format is:
field_id##value %%

e.g.
45##3 %%
25##first %%


for range (if appropriate for the field):
45##3---12 %%

for (any of) multiple value (if appropriate for the field):
45##3+++7+++8 %%

I checked with radio image and checkbox field
with one category and some categories
field_id (last column J! also first column in database) = 45
Field type: Radio image
Field elements: Azul::Azul::azul.gif%% Violeta::Violeta::violeta.gif%% ....

Menu item:
Locked Filters: Yes
Locked Filter values: 45##Azul %%

where did you add this in the menu item ?

please note the order of heritage,

since the setting can be added and overriden in this order:

component
category-tree (multi-level heritage)
menu item
