Can't change column layout in BLOG template

I'm facing a issue similar to the one reported on this thread.

I've duplicated the blog template and then assigned the new template to a category.
Nearly all parameters take effect, except columns.

Even if I set the # of leading articles to 0, it'll keep displaying 1.
I've also noticed that changing the number of columns in standard items is no applied.

please check your config :
- in template
- in category
- in link menu
maybe you have a conflict

FLEXIcontent is Free but involves a very big effort on our part.
Like the our support? (for a bug-free FC, despite being huge extension) Like the features? Like the ongoing development and future commitment to FLEXIcontent?

Hello

i am guessing the categories_items.php of the layout may have been modified
and then it was cloned

test with original
blog category layout
does it happen for it too ?
