Hi - I encountered this problem on a live site in category view. The settings are "extract image" from text.

The image in text is about 25 KB. However, when it renders in the category view it is 330 KB. That makes the page very slow. If there are 10 such images then the image size alone for the page will be 3 MB. Please have a look at the two links below

Hi,
the image has to be recalculated and from (my) experience the algorithm for rescaling png images is not so good. There is a function "Copy Original" that uses the original image or you should use jpg images.

Maybe you can use medium image to kill phptumb

FLEXIcontent is Free but involves a very big effort on our part.
Like the our support? (for a bug-free FC, despite being huge extension) Like the features? Like the ongoing development and future commitment to FLEXIcontent?
