Is it possible to open map link in popup window instead _blank?

or may be it possible to make map area as link to popup?

you mean 2 more configuration parameters: ?

Target of Direct Link:
- new window
- modal window

Show map placement:
- Inline
- modal window

Yes and no.

First yes - we should have modal window instead new tab.
Second, may be we can remove Direction button and make map area as link to modal window or new tab.
