Hi!
We use tags - not to create extra categories.
Is it possible to extend tags options?
I mean add for each tag description, title options e.t.c.

By the way, right now tag pages does not have any meta description at all.
It's bad for Seo.

Hello

no changes were done
in anticipation of moving our Tags to become Joomla Tags

but if site will have Joomla Tags after transition, then you may get a new Tag-ID ...
so thinking how to avoid the above
