yes

FLEXIcontent is Free but involves a very big effort on our part.

Hello

An item can have multiple orderings number
- one ordering number for every category it participates

so if item belongs to 3 categories that exist under category A
if we try to set an ordering number , then to which category this will be set ?

- that is why you subcategory items are excluded

You should display your items via ordering number (their drag and drop order) only when you exclude the display of sub-category items
- if you include in your frontend category view the subcategory items then the ordering result is unspecified (can be any)

NOTE:
If in items manager,
you use 'Joomla ordering' (this is a signle ordering number regardless of category),
- then you can include and ordere subcategory items

I will add a new option to our ordering selectors to allow ordering via "joomla orderings"

Hello

here is a new option to use / test

We have done this:

Renamed 'Joomla ordering' to 'Global ordering', 'Flexicontent ordering to 'Per category ordering'
and added option to use 'Global ordering' in flexicontent views,
this can be useful if we want to sort items listings via ordering number while at the same time displaying subcategory items

Please use in a test site or in a website that is not yet live (under development):
In joomla extension manager go to
Install via URL and use:

github.com/FLEXIcontent/flexicontent-cck...e/3.2.1.x-stable.zip

After installing in items manager you can use "Global ordering" to order items regardless of their category
- then in component configuration or in category configuration select "Global ordering"

and view in frontend
