great news !

FLEXIcontent is Free but involves a very big effort on our part.
Like the our support? (for a bug-free FC, despite being huge extension) Like the features? Like the ongoing development and future commitment to FLEXIcontent?

Actually the latest v1.5.6 beta build is stable it is recommended that you use it for all new sites, since it has a lot of bug fixes and enhancements and probably very few bugs compared to v1.5.4stable/v.1.5.5stable.

Only some concerns about updating existing sites, but if have performance problems in category views and/or need the new features of v1.5.6 then upgrade (please note that your standard templates will be overwritten, existing customs templates should work if all fields you use are put in some template position)

THE ONLY feature that is not 100% complete is the new search view. So if you have doubts avoid using this now.

About the new (advanced) search feature, user friendliness and creation speed of index and of searching the index are now optimized, but still we need some more online help for the users. (Note tags are searchable now)

Plus a warning to update the search index after you set a field to be advanced searchable
